Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in maintaining a safe and respectful environment on the bus.
  • Develop positive relationships with students, school staff, and parents through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor student behavior and report any incidents or concerns to the School Safety and Transportation departments.
  • Collaborate with the bus driver to promote positive behavior standards and ensure a smooth ride for all students.
  • Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action to address immediate safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work split shifts and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to exercise tact and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of child development and behavior.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to analyze situations effectively.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position with a split shift schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 9.5 months annually.
