About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Architect to join our JJIS Application Development team at the Oregon Youth Authority. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our juvenile justice information system (JJIS) as a web-based application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement web applications on both the frontend and backend, utilizing C#,.NET, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to discover requirements, provide mentorship and expertise, and work independently on projects according to priorities.
  • Adapt to new technologies and methodologies, and proactively solve problems in a dynamic development environment.
  • Develop software solutions that adhere to C#.Net architecture techniques and ensure seamless integration with various state systems.
Requirements
  • Seven (7) years of information systems experience in Software Development with a focus on Full Stack web application development.
  • Experience with C#,.NET, Javascript, CSS, and HTML, with a willingness to adopt and master new tools and frameworks.
  • Strong experience with backend development on servers and web APIs, frontend development frameworks, unit testing, software architecture/design, and Continuous Deployment / Continuous integration pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Java and Drools business rules engine.
  • Strong understanding of software systems design, construction, and maintenance.
