Job Summary

The MRI Technologist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of imaging services in our Radiology department. This includes ensuring timely and accurate exams, adequate staffing levels, and sufficient resources to meet clinical demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and train MRI technologists to ensure they are performing exams to the highest standard.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
    • Develop and implement plans to improve staff performance and productivity.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all imaging exams are performed in accordance with established standards and protocols.
    • Identify and report any quality or safety issues to management.
    • Develop and implement plans to improve quality and safety in the Radiology department.
  • Operational Management
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the MRI department, including scheduling and staffing.
    • Develop and manage budgets for the department.
    • Monitor and report on departmental performance metrics.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment and services.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience as an MRI technologist, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Current certification as an MRI technologist.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
