Job Summary

The MRI Technologist Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of imaging services in the MRI department. This includes ensuring that exams are performed in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner, in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in MRI technology and supervisory experience. They will be responsible for interviewing, counseling, and completing performance evaluations for staff members, as well as training new staff and ensuring that all registrations and certifications are current and up-to-date.

The MRI Technologist Supervisor will also be responsible for partnering with the management team and staff to conduct multidisciplinary staff meetings, ensuring consistent and timely communication throughout the department. They will facilitate goal setting for staff working in the imaging sections, monitor goals, achievements, and ensure the outcome of the goals is reflected in the annual performance evaluations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be able to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress, and take appropriate and reasonable steps to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery and quality of imaging services in the MRI department
  • Ensure that exams are performed in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner
  • Interview, counsel, and complete performance evaluations for staff members
  • Train new staff and ensure that all registrations and certifications are current and up-to-date
  • Partner with the management team and staff to conduct multidisciplinary staff meetings
  • Facilitate goal setting for staff working in the imaging sections
  • Monitor goals, achievements, and ensure the outcome of the goals is reflected in the annual performance evaluations

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in MRI technology
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong background in MRI technology
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
