The Civil Engineering division at PEC offers a wide range of services, including stormwater management analysis, modeling, permitting, and design services such as detention/retention ponds, bridge conveyance and scour, water quality assessments, regional conveyance systems, floodplain and floodway management, and site drainage for land development projects. The Project Engineer role is fully backed by the Water Resources team, providing a platform for both personal and professional development in the engineering sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and technical documentation.
  • Possess knowledge and proficiency in defining project requirements, establishing project scopes, determining design budgets, and reviewing contracts.
  • Effectively manage multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal project teams.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion while achieving project goals and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding and ability to communicate and coordinate with team members.
  • Actively participate in the development of junior staff.
  • Conduct quality control assessments at key project milestones.
  • Exhibit comfort with business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a B.S. Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution is required.
  • At least four years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Professional Engineering Licensure in the applicable jurisdiction is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in H&H Modeling, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
