Position Summary

This role involves skilled custodial services work. Employees are expected to carry out a comprehensive range of essential tasks under general supervision. The incumbent will be required to work on alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are fundamental to all positions within this classification and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities:

  • Conducts custodial tasks utilizing protective equipment and techniques in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety and health of clients and visitors.
  • Cleans various surfaces including walls, floors, and carpets through methods such as mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and vacuuming.
  • Employs tools such as brooms, mops, ladders, and chemical solutions for effective cleaning.
  • Dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures, and cleans windows and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents.
  • Empties and sanitizes waste receptacles and may also perform outdoor cleaning tasks.
  • Disinfects a variety of areas including restrooms and kitchens, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies and replaces items as necessary.
  • Assists in rearranging furniture and installing window treatments.
  • Utilizes automated systems for data entry and reporting purposes.
  • Operates custodial machinery such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
  • Completes required training to maintain competency in job functions.
  • Engages effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
