Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist assists the cardiologist radiologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab in the performance of invasive procedures and provides a safe environment for the patient. The technologist will also participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties. Keeps up to date on new procedures, equipment, and exam protocols, and assists with maintaining supply inventory at acceptable levels. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the technologist's practice.

Responsibilities
  • Assist cardiologist radiologist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Participate in monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties
  • Keep up to date on new procedures, equipment, and exam protocols
  • Maintain supply inventory at acceptable levels
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards
Qualifications
  • Education in a school of Cardiovascular Technology
  • CVT/RCIS or ARRT certification
  • Current BLS & ACLS certifications as a Healthcare Provider (American Heart Association)
  • 1-year recent Experienced Cardiovascular Techs or experienced ARRT's
