Position Overview:
We are looking for a Registered Dietitian who is enthusiastic about critical care and eager to apply nutrition support expertise in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients, families, dietetic interns, and various healthcare professionals.

Clinical Nutrition Responsibilities:
The Clinical Nutrition levels I and II are responsible for effectively delivering and documenting nutrition care to patients relevant to their practice area.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Clinical Nutrition I:
- May be registry eligible, but must complete the RD exam within the first six months of employment.
- Advancement to Clinical Nutrition II is required one year after passing the Registered Dietitian exam.
Ongoing Employment Requirements:
- Maintenance of Registered Dietitian status with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- CPR training for those working in outpatient nutrition clinics.
Experience Requirements:
- Clinical Nutrition I: Less than one year of experience in an acute care setting.
- Clinical Nutrition II: One or more years of experience in an acute care setting as a Registered Dietitian (unless grandfathered in under previous position requirements).
Preferred Experience:
- Clinical Nutrition II: Experience in counseling within an acute care or outpatient setting is desired if the position is in the outpatient clinical area.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Education:
- Outpatient positions: Specialty certification in the area of practice; Certificate in Training (Adult Weight Management, Childhood & Adolescent Weight Management); Motivational interview training; Experience with clinical research protocols.
