Parts Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Parts Coordinator is a key member of the FM Generator, Inc. team, responsible for ensuring the efficient procurement and distribution of parts to meet company profitability goals, service schedules, and objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Purchase and receive parts for contractual obligations, quoted work, and emergency requests
- Coordinate with the Parts Administrator to track purchases and receive items into the main warehouse
- Create and monitor purchase orders for purchases made by the Parts Department
- Update system notes and work statuses to reflect order fulfillment status
- Manage the field distribution process, working closely with Operations team members, to ensure orders are fulfilled and distributed in a timely manner
- Review and stage parts and materials for distribution, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist in maintaining inventory controls and records for all items in the electronic database
- Participate in scheduled cycle counts and full warehouse inventories to ensure accuracy of recorded on-hand part quantities
- Provide support to technicians, Service Sales team, and other Operations members with part questions and research
- Research and identify alternate vendors and negotiate additional services, programs, and pricing with existing vendors to reduce product cost and improve logistical reach
- Review and react to inventory, aging, and purchasing reports
- Collaborate with Accounting for purchasing review and inventory valuation
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- A minimum of 2-5 years purchasing and receiving parts experience or similar experience required
- Inventory administration experience a plus
- Specific experience supporting automotive parts, industrial/process machinery, commercial HVAC/refrigeration, or stationary/industrial engine-driven fields is desirable
