Hospitality Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Beverage Manager to join our team at Urimat Hospitality Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the wine & Beverage program.

This is a dynamic hospitality role that requires a strong understanding of customer experience, wine programs, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with our culinary team to deliver exceptional service standards and foster a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hospitality:
  • Promote company values and culture by delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Liaise between front-of-house and culinary teams during service.
  • Provide personalized service to VIP customers and address any customer concerns.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers and promote repeat business.
  • Maintain high standards for wine storage, presentation, and service.
  • Recommend wines based on customer preferences and food pairings.

Operations:

  • Create accountability systems and provide consistent feedback to team members.
  • Plan, execute, and communicate promotions and company information effectively.
  • Promote safe work habits, identify potential safety hazards, and document incidents.
  • Ensure all team members are educated on products and services.
  • Maintain high-quality and consistent product standards.

Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, supervise, manage, coach, counsel, and evaluate hourly employees.
  • Act as a role model for outstanding service and embody company values.
  • Consistently monitor, coach, and encourage management team and hourly service employees.
  • Resolve conflicts between team members or customers according to company guidelines.
  • Foster a positive work environment where team members feel encouraged to contribute.
  • Train new employees as assigned.

Wine Program:

  • Maintain a comprehensive and orderly wine list aligned with company values.
  • Expand or contract wine offerings to drive sales.
  • Develop and implement wine programs and promotions to build customer loyalty.
  • Create standard operating procedures for the wine program.
  • Hire, train, and mentor sommelier team members.
  • Develop educational programs for the service team.

Finance:

  • Order wines and supplies to maintain the wine program.
  • Oversee inventory and financial reporting for the wine program.
  • Set pricing and menu offerings in consultation with senior management.
  • Develop sales and profit plans to meet budgetary goals.
  • Maintain profitability by growing sales and controlling costs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a positive attitude. They should be able to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment. A WSET Level 3 or higher certification or CMS Certified Sommelier pin is preferred. The salary range for this position is $$80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
