Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our Enterprise Business and Digital Transformation organization, you will play a critical role in transforming IT delivery to Classified programs and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of enterprise WAN solutions, including DarkStar.
  • Administer Linux Server environments, software, scheduling, and research applications.
  • Provide system administration on multiple system platforms and hardware, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux with SELinux policies enabled and Windows.
  • Configure and manage San Storage Hardware and System configuration, as well as Windows OS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, and user interface.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of various protocols, such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, and others.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective relationships.

Requirements:

  • DoD SECRET clearance required prior to start.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8 Administration and Configuration.
  • Experience customizing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux Common Operating Environment (COE) to meet various customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries, building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts.
  • Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement.
  • Security + Certification.

Desired Skills:

  • Specific experience using RHEL7/8/9 with SELinux enabled.
  • Experience with Trusted Multi-Level Security (MLS) Operating Systems.
  • Experience using Certificate Authorities (CA) and Public Key Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Script Writing.
  • System Configuration and Hardening.
  • Experience with ICD-503.
  • Experience with Domain Capable Windows/Linux/Virtualization.
  • RHCSA a plus.
