Job Title: Manager, Strategic Pricing - Litigation Practices

Paul Hastings is a leading international law firm that provides innovative legal solutions to many of the world's top financial institutions and Fortune Global 500 companies.

We have an opening for a Manager, Strategic Pricing - Litigation Practices who will report to the Director of Strategic Pricing and manage a team of analysts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Pricing Strategies: Design and implement innovative pricing strategies tailored to various practice areas and client segments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to evaluate profitability, pricing trends, cost structures, and revenue opportunities; and provide actionable insights to enhance financial performance and efficiency.
  • Client Profitability Analysis: Analyze client profitability and lifetime value to inform pricing negotiations and client retention strategies; and identify opportunities to improve client engagement and profitability.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing strategies and market trends to identify opportunities and threats; and recommend adjustments to pricing approaches based on competitive analysis.
  • Data Modeling and Forecasting: Develop predictive models and financial forecasts to support pricing decisions and strategic planning; and utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and firm leadership to educate and influence stakeholders on pricing best practices and strategies; and lead cross-functional teams to implement pricing initiatives effectively.
  • Technology and Tools: Evaluate and implement pricing analytics tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pricing processes; and stay updated on industry advancements in pricing and analytics and recommend improvements to existing tools.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, SQL);
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills are essential;
  • Knowledge of legal industry dynamics, billing practices, and client engagement models;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required - with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization;
  • Proven track record of leading projects, leading people and driving change initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years of Legal Pricing or Legal Project Management Experience (required); and
  • 7+ years of work experience in any of the following areas: Legal Pricing, Pricing Analytics, Financial analysis, or Management Consulting.
