We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience for patients.
- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, maintaining a high level of asepsis and adhering to established protocols.
- Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient information, surgical procedures, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the sterile processing department to ensure the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, operating room procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Two to five years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
- Ability to rotate through sterile core area and assist with instrument processing and inventory management.
