Your role will involve advocating for security awareness among employees and external partners. You will be responsible for overseeing security measures, collecting and analyzing security data, identifying vulnerabilities, and addressing security incidents. Additionally, you will provide security recommendations to project teams, assess risks associated with technology vendors, and stay informed about industry threats and their countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and report on the security status of information systems.
  • Enhance security awareness through various training methods and disseminate policies and threat information across the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and business departments to create user-friendly security procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality security services to various business units within the organization.
  • Offer guidance and support for operational security and manage responses to information security incidents.
  • Conduct vendor assessments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Provide input on information security requirements to support project initiatives.
  • Engage in research on technologies and methods that optimize the use of existing systems.
  • Assist in the upkeep of security standards, procedures, and guidelines aimed at reducing risk in the organization’s information security framework.
  • Support the development of information security strategies and governance, effectively communicating these to staff and stakeholders.
  • Oversee or evaluate internal controls within the department and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and track remediation efforts.
  • Utilize security information and event management tools to identify potential security issues.
  • Assist with security-related projects, vendor oversight, system change reviews, and overall security program management.
  • Support Identity Access Management (IAM) governance, policies, and solutions across various systems.
  • Identify and resolve IAM challenges affecting employees and external partners.
  • Document access management protocols and exceptions, ensuring integrity for audit purposes.
  • Manage user account provisioning and access across diverse business applications.
  • Recommend enhancements for automation efficiency, security practices, and user experience.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes to effectively manage enterprise identity and access.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a role such as information security analyst, engineer, architect, specialist, or consultant.
  • Experience in establishing and validating security requirements related to network and operating system security.
  • Possession of Security+, GISF, GSEC, or a similar security certification is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS, anti-malware solutions, web content filtering, vulnerability scanning tools, and other security technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and provide control recommendations.
  • Preferred proficiency in networking and/or operating systems.

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $84,000 to $94,000. This range reflects the organization’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of hire, which will be determined based on the selected candidate's education, experience, skills, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for participation in the organization’s annual incentive program.

As part of our comprehensive Total Rewards package, we offer 11 paid holidays, 5 weeks of paid time off, and a work culture that prioritizes work/life balance. Most positions qualify for a hybrid work schedule, allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. We also match 100% of the first 6% contributed to your 401(k) and provide an additional 4% non-discretionary contribution at the end of the year.
