Job Overview

Position: SOC Analyst 2

Location: Remote

Shift: 2nd shift [4 pm to 12:30 am] Wednesday - Sunday

This role is integral to the Security Operations Center (SOC) within nLeague, focusing on the management and resolution of information security incidents. As a tier two incident handler, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of security incidents, ensuring effective triage and response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary incident owner, leading the SOC's incident handling processes including discovery, analysis, tracking, containment, recovery, and response coordination.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate identified security incidents and communicate critical intelligence to relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize your expertise in security technologies and strategies to address and mitigate threats effectively.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), CompTIA Security+ (Security+ CE), or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+).
  • In-depth knowledge of security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, policy management, and incident response protocols.
  • Strong understanding of attack vectors and the ability to implement effective countermeasures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to navigate complex situations and provide clear instructions.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
