Position Overview: The Manufacturing Engineering Team Lead is tasked with spearheading the development, definition, and execution of innovative technologies and enhancements to production methodologies. This role plays a pivotal part in minimizing production expenses, integrating new products into the manufacturing workflow, and proactively directing initiatives aimed at elevating manufacturing performance. A dynamic, hands-on, and energetic approach is essential for success in this position. Additionally, this role serves as a key contributor to the formulation of future strategic manufacturing initiatives designed to foster business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance existing machining operations to boost Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.
  • Actively lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for operational challenges, particularly in relation to group KPIs.
  • Oversee the implementation of new technologies as part of capital projects, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints while fulfilling project objectives.
  • Assess manufacturing processes by leveraging knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, while collaborating with vendors and gathering insights from plant operators.
  • Collaborate with the operational team to address daily challenges and drive improvements.
  • Contribute significantly to New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, guiding the manufacturing planning and execution of capital equipment, tooling, and processes.
  • Enhance manufacturing efficiency through the analysis and planning of workflows, spatial requirements, and equipment layouts.
  • Provide strategic recommendations by evaluating production costs, reviewing scheduling practices, and forecasting future needs.
  • Support departmental equipment by coordinating with maintenance and repair services, establishing preventative maintenance protocols, and identifying critical spare parts.
  • Direct efforts to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, organizations, and governmental requirements in the execution of job responsibilities.
  • Prioritize Safety and Quality in all undertakings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related discipline is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing setting involving high-speed machining, automation, welding, and assembly.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage with all levels of employees, customers, and external professionals.
  • Proficient in drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD and/or Solidworks.
  • Experience in capital project scope development and justification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming, automation, and robotic applications is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of complex manufacturing scenarios, hardware specifications, quality standards, product development, CAD/CAM, and technical specifications.
