About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Product Management Director to lead our AI product efforts and drive innovation at Duolingo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AI products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead AI-First Product Features: Develop and implement AI-first product features by crafting the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution to advance AI products at Duolingo.
  • Drive Product Features: Lead product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration.
  • Lead Product Managers: Collaborate with and lead other product managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Research and Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative research to discover feature ideas and validate them before development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with a wide range of collaborators, including teams in research, product design, and engineering.
  • Performance Metrics: Be responsible for hitting key performance indicators entrusted to you.
Requirements
  • Passion for Education and Technology: A desire to make the world a better place through technology and education.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years of product management or related industry experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading other product managers and generating outstanding results.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use user insights, data, and statistical analyses to inform decisions.
  • Mobile User Experience: An instinct for creating simple and intuitive mobile user experiences.
  • Product Development: A desire to build 0-1 products from the ground up.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degrees in Computer Science, Design, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent.
