Responsibilities

While kitchen staff may not interact directly with guests, their roles are crucial to the success of the Cafe. At Hard Rock, culinary team members are expected to be versatile and skilled.

  • Preparing recipes and menu items according to specifications
  • Accurately labeling, dating, covering, and refrigerating prepared items for service
  • Executing opening, closing, and side duties, including setting up, stocking, and dismantling kitchen equipment and preparation stations
  • Ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Adhering to safety and sanitation protocols
  • Exhibiting a sense of urgency in all tasks
  • Reading and interpreting order tickets or automated Kitchen Display System accurately
  • Assembling orders while verifying product quality and specifications
  • Demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge
  • Managing re-cook, special preparation, long ticket, and large party procedures
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and Front-of-the-House staff
  • Offering competitive pay, with wages up to $15+/hr.

Qualifications

Experience, Education, & Certifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (requirements may vary by location)
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • In certain U.S. States, completion of a food safety certification program is mandatory prior to serving food or alcohol, which may include a food handlers card (e.g., California law requires this)

  • Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exhibiting strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency

Physical Demands
