Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $27.07 - $32.95 per hour, dependent on prior experience, with an hourly rate including a vacation factor of $1.48 - $3.20 paid on hours worked up to 40 hours.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Educational Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, assisting with instruction, and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment. Your duties will include:

  • Working one-on-one with students to address their academic needs and provide personalized support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom management, organization of instructional materials, and other tasks as needed
  • Providing support in the computer laboratory, library, or media centers
  • Participating in parental involvement activities under the direct supervision of certificated staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma/GED and one of the following: an Associate's degree or higher, 72 quarter college credits at 100+ level, or a passing score of 461 on the ETS Paraprofessional Exam
  • A current First Aid/CPR card or willingness to become certified within 60 days of employment
  • Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or willingness to become trained within 60 days of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
