About the Role:

As a Substitute Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting our classrooms and ensuring the smooth operation of our programs. You will work under the direction of our Substitute Coordinator and daily classroom Teachers to maintain routines, curriculum, meals, and related activities for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. This is a great opportunity for candidates interested in early childhood education, looking to gain experience, and seeking maximum schedule flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classrooms in maintaining routines, curriculum, meals, and related activities for young children.
  • Work under the direction of the Substitute Coordinator and daily classroom Teachers.
  • Support the daily operation of our programs, including planned staff vacations and day-of, unplanned coverage needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest quality care and education for our children.


Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalence (preferred).
  • Have some childcare or preschool experience (or be motivated to learn and grow in this field).
