Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead our product initiatives focused on manufacturing systems.
This role is ideal for a quality engineer with a passion for pioneering new technologies and a desire to contribute to the future of emissions-free flight.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with product teams, design experts, software engineers, and various manufacturing stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Product Manager, you will:
- Oversee multiple features related to ERP, MES, Quality, and shop floor systems.
- Play a crucial role in delivering essential features for the successful market introduction of the Joby vehicle.
- Help define product strategy and establish best practices to meet user needs.
- Gather requirements, outline features, draft product specifications, refine feedback, assist in writing test plans, manage the backlog, and ensure timely delivery.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and build strong internal and external partnerships.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Over 4 years of experience in Product Management, particularly with manufacturing or internal software solutions.
- A proven track record of successfully launching and supporting user-friendly products at scale.
- Experience in defining programs and processes, utilizing data and metrics for product enhancement.
- The ability to navigate complex problems with high ambiguity.
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience in automotive manufacturing systems.
- Project management experience.
- Familiarity with ticket tracking systems, preferably Linear.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing teams.
- Knowledge of cloud and on-premise environments, as well as deployment technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Firebase.
- An interest in aviation or new transportation technologies.
