Nurse Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our team as a Nurse Administrator. This is a part-time, non-benefited position, scheduled 12-hours per week. Twelve-hour day shift.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and organizing personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost-effective manner. This role will collaborate to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedures, and to assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and act as a resource for flow and throughput, collaborating with the patient resource manager (PRM) and physician leadership on flow priorities.
- Coordinate the routine flow of scheduled, direct, and emergency department patient admissions, establishing effective communication with care management, medical staff, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with bed placement as necessary, and initiate a high occupancy response plan as needed.
- Coordinate the organizational response during times of high census, collaborating with administrators, nursing directors, the Emergency Department, Surgery Department, Critical Care, Cath Lab, Women's and Children and Inpatient Nursing Units to execute capacity management plans.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
- RN License in State of Michigan required.
- Certification: BLS required.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience required. 5 years preferred.
