Job Summary

Duncan Aviation is seeking a skilled Accessory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for testing, adjusting, troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling core aircraft accessory components to manufacturer specifications and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. With minimal supervision, troubleshoot and repair core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, and technical documents.
  2. Research, prepare, and sign off various documents, including work order status updates, for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations.
  3. Provide accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.
  4. Maintain and clean test equipment and work area as required.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Licenses/Certificates: Respirator fit eligible
  • Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
  • Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally lifts 100 lbs.; reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and sitting
  • Environmental: Tolerates working in noisy environments
Education and Experience

Accessory Technician I:

  • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred
  • Previous mechanical experience required

Accessory Technician II:

  • Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year aviation component maintenance or related experience required

Accessory Technician III:

  • Associates Degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum three years aviation component maintenance or related experience required
