We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Ascension. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures, including reviewing medical history, positioning patients, and cleaning/shaving/testing sites as necessary.
- Interpret, describe, and report test results, recognizing recording errors and artifacts and taking appropriate action.
- Monitor patients prior to, during, and after procedures, promptly reporting any abnormal findings in patient condition.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies, and lab area, ensuring equipment is properly functioning.
- Report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel and lock/tag out equipment as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following certifications required: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Cardiographic Tech, or Radiologic Technologist.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
