Job Title: Hyperconverged Infrastructure Engineer

Great Hill Solutions, a part of the Seneca Nation Group (SNG) portfolio, is seeking a skilled Hyperconverged Infrastructure Engineer to support the Department of State in Washington, D.C. or Aurora, CO.

The ideal candidate will provide expert support for enterprise datacenters with over 3000 Virtual Machines, designing, implementing, and maintaining VMWare-based infrastructure and related storage. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and architecting virtual infrastructure environments
  • Maintaining all VMware virtual infrastructure environments
  • Managing physical hardware hosting virtual infrastructure
  • Monitoring availability and performance of virtual infrastructure enterprise systems
  • Maintaining and providing VM backups
  • Providing 24/7 Level 3 support to virtual infrastructure issues
  • Participating in design and architecture of data center network infrastructure
  • Producing architectural documentation for logical and physical virtual infrastructure environments
  • Providing and maintaining customer virtual machines
  • Collaborating with vendors to provide government solutions
  • Assisting customers in designing and implementing enterprise solutions
  • Working independently and reporting back to the team on infrastructure issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus 5-10 years of hands-on experience
  • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience working with VMWare and understanding of the P2V process
  • Experience with Hyperconverged systems such as Dell EMC VXRail
  • Knowledge of Virtual Storage Area Network (VSAN)
  • Day-to-day data management and operational support for distributed data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of/experience with Nutanix or Red Hat Virtualization
  • Knowledge and experience of Linux
  • Knowledge and experience of Scripting and Automation
  • Knowledge of Programming Languages
