As a Clinical Research Pharmacist, you will be responsible for executing the essential functions of a research pharmacist within an academic medical center environment. This role involves the development, implementation, and coordination of activities related to drug research across the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the departmental liaison to study-related personnel and committees.
2. Foster the educational and professional growth of the Pharmacy department.
3. Enhance the quality of patient care delivery.
4. Engage in professional self-development and participate in scholarly activities.
In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive compensation range of $83.94 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a Pharm. D Degree is required.
Experience:
No prior experience is necessary; however, a Hospital Pharmacy Residency or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
Licensure:
A valid Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License is required, along with American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates prolonged periods of standing. Candidates should possess proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to write legibly. The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs is required, and exposure to chemicals may occur.
