Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Location: Temple, TX

Shift: 8HR Days, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Weekend call rotation required)

Shifts Per Week: 5

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $36 - $52 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (external candidates only)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing radiation therapy procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. This position is a full-time role with a weekday schedule, and a weekend call rotation may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to established protocols and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Position patients correctly, set exposure factors, and operate equipment efficiently to deliver prescribed radiation doses.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and radiation safety regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and physicists to ensure the proper operation of radiation equipment.
  • Monitor patients during treatment, assess their ability to tolerate the procedures, and adjust care as needed.
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation such as requisitions, patient history, and consent forms are accurately completed and maintained.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized, reporting any issues to the management.
  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for new team members, providing quality training on new services and protocols.
  • Participate in weekend call rotations, if required.
Qualifications:
  • ARRT-T Radiation Therapy Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-T).
  • Previous experience in radiation therapy is preferred but not required.
