Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care, a 192-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of physical, mental, and social well-being.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
* Interpret and/or instruct in Occupational Therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary.
* Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments (MDS), etc. as necessary.
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
* Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents.
Requirements:
* Must possess a current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of NY.
* Must possess current malpractice insurance, license in good standing.
* Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as an Occupational Therapist.
* Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care.
* Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents.
* Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers.
* Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills.
* Trusted to work independently & in a team environment.
* Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff.
