Job Summary:The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing individualized therapy plans to help residents regain their independence and functionality. This will involve assessing residents' needs, creating personalized treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy to help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:- Assess residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide hands-on therapy to help residents regain their independence and functionality
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act
- Current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of NY
- Current malpractice insurance and license in good standing
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care
- Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, and passionate about quality care
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
- Patience, a cheerful disposition, and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
- Trusted to work independently and in a team environment
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff
