Job Summary:
The OPS Senior Clerk position is a critical role within the Department of Health in Lee County. As the primary point of contact for clients seeking services, this position handles protected health information while adhering to Department of Health Information Security and Privacy Policy procedures and State/Federal laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registration: Client sign-in and registration for clinic services, including scanning ID, insurance cards, and initiation of service forms.
- Clerical Duties: Entering services in the system, scheduling appointments, monitoring and responding to client emails, and following up on status of transfers and forms.
- Billing/Cashier Functions: Handling monetary transactions, collecting payment, and providing receipts for rendered clinical services, verifying and billing clinic services to self-pay or third parties.
- Job Enrichment: Attending required meetings and trainings, remaining current on all policies and protocols, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach, and sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with occasional loud noises.
- Ability to locate information listed alphabetically and numerically.
- Ability to follow instructions and review data for accuracy and completeness.
