Civil Infrastructure Engineer - Full Time

Location: Stamford, CT

Key Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • FE/EIT Certification is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation is essential.

The Engineering Department is looking for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role will be pivotal in assisting our municipal clients with the development and design of Complete Streets initiatives, pedestrian pathways, cycling lanes, roadway enhancements, drainage solutions, and various capital improvement projects aimed at enhancing roadway safety and efficiency for all users. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and modification of engineering documents, including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, HydroCAD, etc.).
  • Evaluate site characteristics such as hydrology, topography, and geology through the analysis of record documents, reports, maps, and engineering plans.
  • Design roadway and utility infrastructure, focusing on geometry, grading, drainage, utility design, stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, environmental scientists, subconsultants, and other professionals.
  • Engage in professional organizations to enhance knowledge and networking.
