Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to floor staffing as necessary.
  • Engage in MDS, care planning, and participate in Performance Improvement and Infection Control initiatives as required.
  • Supervise nursing personnel through effective hiring, training, performance evaluation, task assignment, and delegation of responsibilities, adhering to budgetary and resident census constraints.
  • Review and verify accurate resident charting and procedural documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical directors, nursing staff, and external consultants to develop and implement comprehensive resident care plans.
  • Ensure timely availability of necessary equipment, supplies, and resources for staff.
  • Conduct essential assessments and maintain a strong understanding of infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Active Nursing License in good standing with the State Nursing Board.
  • Extensive technical experience along with proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Background in geriatric nursing.
  • Commitment to restorative care philosophy, with excellent professional skills in assessment, hands-on care, communication, and organization.
  • Familiarity with nursing home regulations.
