Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineering Project Specialist at REAL ALLOY, you will leverage your project management expertise to orchestrate and execute pivotal capital projects, spearhead technological advancements, and deliver engineering solutions that enhance productivity and operational efficiency within our business unit.

Your role will encompass:
  • Project Engineering/Management: 60%
  • Plant Support: 20%
  • Mechanical Systems Design: 20%

In this position, you will effectively communicate project expectations to team members, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships with plant personnel through the successful implementation of capital projects. Experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments is highly valued.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will primarily support our operations in Coldwater, Michigan, while also providing assistance to other regional sites, which may require travel of up to 30%. International travel capability is an added advantage.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial experience, specifically in planning, specification, and execution of engineering design projects beyond academic settings.
  • Strong technical acumen and process management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating practical judgment and a realistic grasp of the challenges involved.

Preferred software proficiencies include Inventor and AutoCAD, along with a solid understanding of structural design and federal regulations such as OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA. Familiarity with aluminum processing is a plus.
