About the Role

BCC Engineering is a leading design firm that offers integrated engineering services for public and private sector clients. As a Roadway Engineer, you will be part of a team of industry leaders who impact exciting and interesting projects in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations, and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria.
  • Develop 3D Models of roadways using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads.
  • Approach tasks with an open mindset and propose innovative solutions to design problems.
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review.
  • Assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers, applying technical discretion to first revisions of technician work product.
  • Potentially serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks.
  • Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities, including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies.
  • Present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings and contribute to presentations with external parties.
  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports.
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals.
  • Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • 4+ years of experience in the field.
