Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at STJ St. Joseph's Hospital. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a range of respiratory equipment, including nebulizers, ventilators, and oxygen delivery devices.
- Complete accurate documentation and charging for procedures, either on paper or in the electronic system.
- Participate in patient care documentation, including bipap flow sheets, ventilator flow sheets, and patient teaching forms.
- Instruct patients and family members on respiratory procedures and provide education on patient care.
- Maintain CEUs and serve as a respiratory therapy resource, providing education to coworkers and providers.
- Comply with organization safety guidelines and communicate concerns to the director or supervisor.
- Perform respiratory techniques to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Coordinate clinical activities, evaluate treatment priorities, and recognize patient comfort levels.
- Perform procedures such as bronchodilator medication delivery, medical gas therapy, and overnight sleep studies.
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Licensed by the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist - Registered (LRTR).
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- Two years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.
