Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical respiratory therapy services in general patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides clinical respiratory therapy services in general patient care areas.
  • Advanced patient care responsibilities and duties may also be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Director.
  • Delivers bronchodilator medication, medical gas therapy, overnight sleep studies, and overnight pulse ox studies according to Department P/P manual.
  • Coordinates all clinical activities, evaluates treatment priorities, and recognizes the patients' level of comfort based upon demonstrated knowledge and skill as a respiratory therapist.
  • Properly performs respiratory techniques to assure quality patient outcomes.
  • Complies with organization safety guidelines and communicates to the director/supervisor when there are areas of concern.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Licensed by West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care as a Licensed Respiratory Therapist - Registered (LRTR).
  • BLS, ACLS and NRP.
  • Two (2) years respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced patient care responsibilities and duties may also be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Director.
