Job Title: Internal Communications Manager

GreenState Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for advancing our culture and inspiring our employees through an internal communications strategy.

Job Summary

The Internal Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal communications plan that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes creating and disseminating regular communications to employees, managing the company's intranet, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective communication across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Create and disseminate regular communications to employees, including company-wide emails, newsletters, and other materials
  • Manage the company's intranet, including creating and maintaining content, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information, and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and alignment with the internal communications strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners
  • Provide counsel on the need for and compose draft announcements, speeches, and presentations for senior management
  • Establish user and engagement metrics, manage the collection and reporting of internal communications metrics, and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Four-year college degree in Journalism or Communications, or related field required, or equivalent experience
  • Five-to-seven years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred
  • Extensive experience with writing professional communications, excellent organization and project management skills, and proven ability to oversee and direct several projects at once
  • Ability to create and translate editorial content into a visually appealing finished product, with graphic and multimedia components as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and provide appropriate communications solutions and compelling messaging for a variety of audiences and channels
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, ability to coordinate and prioritize large, detailed project requirements and schedules
  • Able to work as part of a team and work independently on own initiative, energetic and delivery-focused with creative orientation
  • Able to build trust and maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, attention to detail, and high scanning accuracy with special emphasis on proofreading and layout review
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for Credit Union communications, proficiency in a variety of PC software programs, including the Microsoft Office application suite
  • Ability and willingness to work additional hours as demanded by the workload and the Credit Union's rapidly changing competitive environment

This position is responsible for the supervision of others
