Position Summary:
The Technician will operate under the guidance of a designated supervisor, utilizing their expertise to assess, select, and implement standard applicable methodologies. This role may encompass various disciplines including procurement, expediting, NDT Inspection, project management, surveying, laser scanning, scheduling, planning, construction oversight, project coordination, automation, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the assigned supervisor in multiple facets of designated projects.
- Utilize standard discipline techniques to execute minor modifications and adaptations.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required, along with specialized training or relevant college coursework, and a minimum of six (6) years of experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience sufficient to effectively carry out the essential duties of the position.
Licensing Requirements:
- Possession of a valid Driver's License in accordance with State regulations.
Essential Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of Policies and Procedures related to project execution.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to traverse up to one mile across industrial plant and construction sites in various weather conditions.
- Capability to wear protective gear that may increase body temperature for short durations.
- Ability to navigate multi-level stair towers and ladders independently.
- Capacity to hear safety alarms and signals while utilizing hearing protection.
- Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer for extended periods.
- Physical capability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and communicate effectively.
- Visual acuity to distinguish colors and operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.
- Regularly lift and carry 15 lbs., with occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Position Duties & Functions:
- Evaluate vendor submissions for completeness and accuracy.
- Request corrections from vendor timekeepers as necessary.
- Accurately input vendor submissions into cost tracking systems.
- Audit billable charges to ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Assign employee schedules in software to accurately calculate billable hours on site.
- Maintain current knowledge of contract terms relevant to billable charges for each vendor.
- Identify and resolve issues requiring an understanding of payroll principles and sound judgment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendor timekeepers.
