Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left markers are utilized appropriately.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competent in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection.
  • Understanding of anatomy and pathology as it relates to the quality of a procedure.
