Qualifications:
- Previous experience with computers is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- General understanding of Accounts Receivable is a plus.
- BLS certification is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors to the department with professionalism and warmth.
- Conduct patient registration, set up insurance, and confirm demographic information upon each patient’s arrival.
- Oversee the monthly updates of MN Healthcare Programs.
- Identify primary care providers for patients.
- Address patient inquiries, including billing questions, and assist with directional needs.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Collect patient payments and co-pays during each visit.
- Collaborate closely with clinicians and nursing staff.
- Participate in educational and training seminars.
- Order and maintain department supplies.
- Handle internal and external patient referrals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
