POSITION SUMMARY:

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a security role. Preferably two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting or a related field. Familiarity with video surveillance systems is advantageous.
Skills and Abilities:
The following skills are essential for success in this position:
  • Comprehensive understanding of security, safety, and enforcement practices within a corporate environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with staff and the public.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance in all interactions.
  • Ability to document and investigate incidents as required.
  • Capacity to make independent decisions while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Residency and Transportation Requirement:
Must possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle with insurance coverage as mandated by state regulations.

License(s)/Certification(s) Required:
Current Security Officer License from the relevant local authority.
Must be certified by a medical professional as fit to perform the duties outlined.
Certification in Mace and Handcuff Training is required.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions

  • Ensures the dignity, confidentiality, and respect of co-workers, clients, and visitors.
  • Monitors personnel to ensure identification badges are displayed appropriately.
  • Responds to the needs of staff, clients, and visitors with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Conducts thorough security checks of the premises, including doors, lighting, and grounds on a daily basis.
  • Completes detailed reports of rounds and other responsibilities.
  • Provides assistance to clients, employees, and visitors as necessary.
  • Collaborates with law enforcement during investigations, as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Marginal Functions:
Engages in safety and facilities committees and task forces.
