The Facilities Operations Engineer I is responsible for conducting routine maintenance, safety evaluations, and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment, reporting directly to the Facilities Operations Engineer III.


Compensation:
$55.00/HR
The listed pay represents the salary range for this role. Actual offers may differ based on the candidate's educational background, experience, skills, capabilities, geographic location, and market alignment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or five (5) years of equivalent engineering experience
  • Possession of a valid, unexpired driver's license
  • Engineering license in the relevant state, county, or city jurisdiction where work will be performed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • For candidates with a Bachelor's degree, three (3) years of relevant engineering experience is preferred
  • For candidates without a Bachelor's degree, seven (7) years of relevant engineering experience is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and comply with company and regulatory standards
  • Operate various heating and ventilation systems, engines, turbines, motors, combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, fans, and siphons at designated client locations
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on technical challenges, work scope recommendations, and failure analysis
  • Provide engineering assistance for a diverse array of systems, maintenance initiatives, engines, and operational engineering tasks
  • Evaluate and propose solutions for the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Establish a maintenance program or configuration to troubleshoot issues and ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Review service bulletins from manufacturers or component suppliers
  • Develop solutions and implementation strategies, project justifications, cost/benefit analyses, and oversee project execution while coordinating warranty recovery on applicable service bulletins
  • Organize and prioritize assigned responsibilities to fulfill project deliverables, maintenance program updates, and technical specification modifications
  • Coordinate efforts with other operational teams to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and efficiency
