The Attending Veterinarian will play a critical role in ensuring the health and welfare of animals used in our research and development programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Lampire Animal Care and Use Program, managing the Program of Veterinary Care, and participating in the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Lampire Animal Care and Use Program
  • Manage the Program of Veterinary Care
  • Participate in the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
  • Assist in preparation of investigation reports as part of the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program
  • Provide training for routine clinical procedures and to animal care staff
  • Prescribe and direct all clinical treatments
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD)
  • Pennsylvania veterinary license
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a practicing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working with laboratory animals
  • Farm animal husbandry background or experience a plus
Working Conditions:

The Attending Veterinarian will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extremes in temperature and occasional farm equipment.

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can vary from minimal to loud.
