Job Overview

Havtech LLC is seeking a skilled Technical Project Specialist to join their team. As a key member of our post-sales support team, you will provide technical assistance to our sales engineers and clients throughout the acquisition and fulfillment stages of commercial HVAC equipment projects.

About the Role

This position requires a unique blend of customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise to ensure accurate equipment delivery and drive project success. You will work closely with our sales engineers, contractors, and technical buyers to provide system and product information, design, and pricing during the design and fulfillment stages.

Responsibilities
  • Support assigned Sales Engineers and associated consultants in system and product information, design, and pricing.
  • Timely completion of projects and maintaining owner, engineer, and contractor satisfaction.
  • Staying current with material costs to address escalation during budgeting of long-term projects.
  • Developing preliminary and final submittals for timely production release and delivery of equipment.
  • Maintaining relationships with represented manufacturers, ensuring competitive advantage, and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Communicating with subcontractors and suppliers by obtaining and negotiating prices for materials and evaluating vendor submittals.
  • Documenting work by maintaining files for each job, including internal and external correspondence to mitigate project risk.
  • Coordinating service and technical support during start-up and throughout the warranty period.
  • SUCCESSFULLY HANDLING A LARGE AND DIVERSE NUMBER OF PROJECTS AND ISSUES WITH TACT, COOPERATION, AND PERSISTENCE.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field.
  • Two to three years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Familiarity with commercial HVAC systems and/or plan/specification documents preferred.
  • Basic PC experience in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Web-enabled applications, and intermediate level experience with Excel.
  • Excellent math aptitude, superior follow-up skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
