Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial and revenue objectives, including annual budgeting in line with key metrics.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and reporting.
  • Oversee resident move-ins and move-outs, including lease approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with lease terms, including legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Negotiate and manage service providers to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
  • Address resident requests and issues proactively.
  • Enhance customer experience and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage accounts receivable for timely rent collection, adhering to company policies.
  • Coordinate legal paperwork and actions in collaboration with legal or accounting teams.
  • Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with approval thresholds.
  • Prepare and present business plan outcomes to senior management.
  • Analyze and understand the local market, including competitive properties and business conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Direct supervision of property staff, including maintenance and leasing personnel.
  • Implement supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, training, and performance evaluations of employees.
  • Manage work assignments, performance appraisals, and address employee concerns.

Position Requirements:

  • On-site living may be required based on property size.
  • Valid California driver's license and compliance with company vehicle policies.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in the multifamily sector.
  • 2+ years as a Community or Resident Manager.
  • Proven supervisory experience in property management.
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
  • Flexibility to work after hours for emergencies.
  • California Real Estate Sales license is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is highly recommended.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
