Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial and revenue objectives, including annual budgeting in line with key metrics.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis and reporting.
- Oversee resident move-ins and move-outs, including lease approvals.
- Ensure compliance with lease terms, including legal proceedings as necessary.
- Negotiate and manage service providers to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
- Address resident requests and issues proactively.
- Enhance customer experience and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage accounts receivable for timely rent collection, adhering to company policies.
- Coordinate legal paperwork and actions in collaboration with legal or accounting teams.
- Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with approval thresholds.
- Prepare and present business plan outcomes to senior management.
- Analyze and understand the local market, including competitive properties and business conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties:
- Direct supervision of property staff, including maintenance and leasing personnel.
- Implement supervisory responsibilities per organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct interviews, hiring, training, and performance evaluations of employees.
- Manage work assignments, performance appraisals, and address employee concerns.
Position Requirements:
- On-site living may be required based on property size.
- Valid California driver's license and compliance with company vehicle policies.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years in the multifamily sector.
- 2+ years as a Community or Resident Manager.
- Proven supervisory experience in property management.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Flexibility to work after hours for emergencies.
- California Real Estate Sales license is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree is highly recommended.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
