Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain the broiler station, including all food preparation equipment, plateware, and supplies.
  • Assist the Chef and/or butcher in cutting meat, following specifications, quality standards, and procedures.
  • Communicate frequently with the Chef to report any problems or discrepancies within the kitchen.
  • Assist side cooks and other kitchen personnel in food preparation as assigned by the Chef.
  • Prepare all food products according to company specifications, recipes, procedures, plate presentation, and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared correctly and served to guests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and practices.
  • Support other Back-of-House positions as needed, providing a seamless guest experience.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year experience as a broiler cook in a full-service, fine dining, upscale restaurant.
  • Experience with fresh products preferred.
  • Ability to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies, and paper goods up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
  • Ability to taste and distinguish between flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smell.
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to extreme cold, heat, loud noises, and fumes.
