We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Nisqually Indian Tribe. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality programs that meet the unique needs of each age group.
- Engage with parents and family members to ensure seamless communication and build strong relationships.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of children's progress and development.
- Assist with daily center duties and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, and traditions.
- Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes and early learning facilities.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handler's Card.
- Valid Washington State Driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous and changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.
