Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Nisqually Indian Tribe. As a key member of our childcare staff, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality programs that meet the unique needs of each age group.
  • Engage with parents and family members to ensure seamless communication and build strong relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of children's progress and development.
  • Assist with daily center duties and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Nisqually Indian Tribe's history, customs, and traditions.
  • Experience working with Federally Recognized Tribes and early learning facilities.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification and Food Handler's Card.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license and a clean driving record.
