About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leadership Development Specialist to join our team at the State of Washington. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the professional development of school board members across the state.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Leadership Development to identify and fulfill the professional development needs of school board members.
  • Develop and implement research-based professional development opportunities to support effective governance in public education.
  • Collaborate with school districts and other stakeholders to provide model policy development and legal resources.
  • Assist board members with communicating the needs of their school districts to Washington's legislators.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leadership development and education support.
  • Strong understanding of public education and school governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule combining in-office and remote work.
