Job Summary

Ohio Dominican University is seeking a highly motivated and organized Admission Counselor to join our team. As a key member of the Admissions department, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing recruitment activities, fostering relationships with students and families, and contributing to the growth and visibility of the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Outreach
    • Represent the University to prospective students and the general public through various outreach programs and activities.
    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies and activities to engage with students and families in assigned geographic territories.
  • Relationship Building
    • Maintain relationships with students, families, and staff at high schools within assigned territories.
    • Counsel and advise constituents on admission and enrollment processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Utilize effective communication skills to engage with faculty, staff, students, and off-campus constituents.
    • Participate in on-campus visit programs, new student orientations, campus retention programs, and other admission-related activities.
  • Administrative and Analytical
    • Review admission files and transfer courses, as appropriate to territory responsibilities.
    • Assist with new student registration activities and summer orientation.
    • Evaluate and assess processes and procedures on an annual basis to improve services offered.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and experience in higher education admissions. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing, fiscal management, relationship building, and presentation skills are essential. The ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and travel is also required.

The successful candidate will be committed to helping students achieve success and will demonstrate a willingness to support the University's Catholic and Dominican identity and mission.
