The ideal candidate for this position is enthusiastic, adaptable, possesses a positive demeanor, and most importantly, has a strong commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for medical evaluations, record vital signs and medical history, and administer treatments as necessary.
  • Assist in identifying medical issues, initiate and maintain intravenous lines, and administer fluids and medications as directed by provider orders.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and other medical personnel during patient examinations and treatments, including administering injections, removing sutures, and applying splints and dressings.
  • Authorize medication refills according to provider instructions and relay prescription details to pharmacies.
  • Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and manage wound care under provider supervision.
  • Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through standard in-house testing procedures, analyze and prepare samples for testing, log results, and perform laboratory follow-ups.
  • Set up examination and treatment rooms; select, prepare, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures.
  • Document patient care and procedures accurately, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling for tests and follow-up appointments.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and medication instructions.
  • Collaborate with team members, take direction, and initiate actions that promote seamless patient care across functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
License/Certification:
Current LPN license and BLS certification are mandatory.
Experience:
A minimum of one to three years of relevant experience is preferred. BestMed is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
